No More Off-The-Shelf Software

On the Conjunctional Adverb 'Otherwise' Again

Free Hospital for Children

3)Although freedom is the most cherished value of all the human values, you're not supposed to translate the proper noun Free Hospital for Children into the Korean version as "Hospital of Freedom for Children." I would like to advise to the translator "you use your linguistic sense." How dare you make such a mistake? Didn't you see hints from the words "raise funds" "charitable" on your way?
4)In the case of Free Hospital for Children, the attribute of freedom from charges has become the name of the hospital. To elaborate, the designation speaks to the visitors and its beneficiaries to the effect that "this is a children's hospital taking no charges for their medical care.

"No jury would find a man guilty," is the correct interpretation.
4)It's not supposed to be a rightful situation and you can safely say that such a situation rarely occurs in American court landscapes. But it is so described in the scene of this novel that the jury had had their palms so heavily greased they had been disinclined to convict the criminal defendant.
5)Although too much of a good technical thing, the "too~to" syntactic structure should be treated as technical. The translator has got it wrong. Utterly wrong in that he is equivocating, not taking the technical format {{... too great a sum ... to feel free, ...to reject his closing plea}}into consideration. It is essential to know that the format ends up negating the statement.

2)As the medical jargon of cancer is to a would-be patient, so is the litigation term conviction to an ordinary citizen. No person, who is worthy of the title of a translator, is supposed to do the wrong version of the common-sensical term 'convict.' I am inclined to deplore too easy-going an attitude of a so-called a translator.
3)Although, even in the American legal system, the trial judge rules the case, but the jury (the group of jurors) finds a defendant guilty or not guilty. The translator has got it wrong. Utterly wrong in that he or she has misconstrued the phrase at issue {{no American jury would convict a man}}to mean to the effect that "no jury would prosecute a man." "No jury would find a man guilty," is the correct interpretation.
4)It's not supposed to be a rightful situation and you can safely say that such a situation rarely occurs in American court landscapes. But it is so described in the scene of this novel that the jury had had their palms so heavily greased they had been disinclined to convict the criminal defendant.
5)Although too much of a good technical thing, the "too~to" syntactic structure should be treated as technical. The translator has got it wrong. Utterly wrong in that he is equivocating, not taking the technical format {{... too great a sum ... to feel free, ...to reject his closing plea}}into consideration. It is essential to know that the format ends up negating the statement.
