[comments]::1)A mediocre baseball player as he is, he will be expected to bunt at least. If he failed in the attempt, too, what would become of him? As in the case of a literary world, too frequent a bungling translator might be liable to hear audiences curse "Drop dead!"
2)I am tempted to comfort the translator on the one hand, saying, "Don't be discouraged. You are not to blame but the English language is." It's not your fault that you've picked the definition of the adjective 'free' on its top list but the adjective which has so many different definitions.
3)Although freedom is the most cherished value of all the human values, you're not supposed to translate the proper noun Free Hospital for Children into the Korean version as "Hospital of Freedom for Children." I would like to advise to the translator "you use your linguistic sense." How dare you make such a mistake? Didn't you see hints from the words "raise funds" "charitable" on your way?
4)In the case of Free Hospital for Children, the attribute of freedom from charges has become the name of the hospital. To elaborate, the designation speaks to the visitors and its beneficiaries to the effect that "this is a children's hospital taking no charges for their medical care.
