The Correct Interpretation of 'Otherwise'

[omissions]:1)이 나라 번역자들의 통폐입니다. “번역은 창작이다” 어쩌구 하면서 없는 말 지어내고 있는 건 건너뜁니다. 2)말이야 바른 말이지 두개골과 사지만 붙여놓은 형체를 ‘인간’이라고 할 수가 있습니까. 뼈도 있고 거기에 살도 붙어야 하고 무엇보다도 “피가 통해야” 하지 않나요?


[otherwise]:1)오역을 양산하면서 겊핏하면 생략하고 건너뛰기를 일삼는 사람들 중에 제일 많이 건너뛰는 곳이 바로 이 'otherwise'라는 단어가 나오는 부분입니다. 2)otherwise는 부사적 접속사 또는 접속사적 부사입니다. 물론, 이 단어의 바로 앞에 나오는 그 어떤 단어, 구 또는 진술과 관계가 있습니다. 그리고 그 의미는 “...가 없었더라면”입니다.

[comments]::1)Hi, do you also think that "translation is a fresh creation" (giggling away)? Why do you do your job so perfunctorily? Could that kind of work deserve the designation of translation, with you skipping the original text with impunity? Figuratively speaking, could the human anatomy with only skull and limbs deserve the designation of a human being?


2)Translators' creation is a crime, of course. And their too- often- repeated omissions are another creation, too, which constitutes a crime. Skeletons are not to be called a 'building.' In the similar context, "skinny translations with wiry physique" are not to be called a translation.


3)English is relationships. In other words, the English language is the language of relationships. The word 'otherwise' is a very important word which needs attention. 'Otherwise' is an adverbial conjunction, or a conjunctional adverb with subjunctive basis, which, of course, is related to a specific preceding statement, in this case, the word is related to "both services."


4)The translator has got it wrong. Utterly wrong in that he has not properly conveyed the meaning of the phrase at issue by omissions of major statements. To elaborate, he has omitted the part {{that they would otherwise have to buy}} The correct translation should have been: "...that they would have to buy (music) if it had not been for both services..."


5)There was another omission. The translator has made an omission of the essential part {{they might find themselves redundant.}} If you, the translator, skips something with impunity you consider complicated, you'll end up a failure as a communicator. For, the statement including the word 'redundant' constitutes a preceding (tiered or ladder) state or development of the phrase 'cease to exist.' (redundant=>cease to exist)
